A quick word from Galapagos

Ah, the Galapagos Islands...the most beautiful place in the world, I would like to declare. I have been here now for nearly 4 days, and I can tell why some never leave. Each day, I get off the boat on a different island and see amazing wildlife (which do not have any reason to steer clear of humans, and therefore, literally stand at your feet...even the blue footed boobies---haha, still funny), snorkel in the most fantastic sites, and enjoy picturesque views. Since these islands are part of the national park of Galapagos, there is no human disturbance or development. I have already swam with sharks (vegetarian sharks, do not worry), sea lions, and fantastic fish, seen tons of boobies and giant turtles, and I still have nearly 4 days left. Today, I visited the Charles Darwin Research Center in Puerta Ayora, which I found to be next to a real town...with stores, restaurants, and alas, internet. So, here“s a word from the islands.

I will write more, in the traditionally detailed style, upon my return to Quito. And hey, where did all those people who used to comment on my blog go? I miss you guys. And, to those who never commented on the blog, I miss you too.
